Choosing Your Skirt Size
Sizing ChartTake a look at my sizing chart below and notice that my skirts run a little big.

Waist Opening MeasurementsThink you may be in between sizes? The best way to nail down your size is to take a tape measure and find out where on your waist or hips your body equals the top waist opening of each size skirt:

You may discover that you can wear 2 different sizes, and it’s just a matter of your preference between wearing your skirt higher or lower.
The Magic of the A-Line Skirt
The a-line skirt is a wonderous, magical thing. It’s the easiest fit you’ll find in a skirt, especially mine because it doesn’t have a waistband. So many of my repeat customers rave about how their Angie’s Sweatshop skirts are one of the few pieces they own that are still wearable, even as their bodies change. If our hips take a turn for the slimmer, the skirt just fits a little lower. If they decide to fill out in that way that women’s hips so often do, we’re wearing our skirts a little higher. And the lovely flair at the hem means our waist will always look tapered.
Two Great Skirt Lengths to Choose From
My regular-length skirt is 25” which falls just about mid-calf on most women, depending on her height and how high or low she wears her skirt. The short-length skirt is 4” shorter at 21” and generally falls at the knee or just above.
Believe it or not, your height is not always the best indication of which length will be best on you. For example, I'm a solid 5 feet tall, and I only ever wear the regular length skirts. (Well, except for when I'm wearing my favorite white cowboy boots—then I wear my short gun skirt!) It really has more to do with your proportions—and sometimes how cute your knees are! I've talked many satisfied customers into a regular-length skirt who swore they'd never wear a skirt below their knees.
All size xsmall, small, and medium skirts come in regular or short. I will only ship a large or xlarge skirt in the short length by special request. I do not charge extra for the alteration, but unfortunately, they are non-refundable and non-returnable, only because it’s so very difficult for me to find new homes for those sized skirts in the short length. However, I have several customers who will only order large-short skirts and LOVE them!
Got a hankerin’ for a skirt that’s a different length? Just ask. I love to talk to my customers, and we'll see what we can do, OK?
